Pitchlings — Privacy Policy

Pitchlings is a gentle, wordless musical-ear game for young children, published by ShadowTune (Frederic Valente), based in France ("we", "us"). We take your child's privacy seriously. This policy explains what data the app accesses, why, and how it's handled — in short, almost nothing, and nothing personal ever leaves your device.

What the App Accesses

Game progress. Which creatures your child has met and mastered, and similar gameplay progress, are stored locally on your device. This data never leaves your phone or tablet, and uninstalling the app deletes it.

Profile name (optional). If you create a child profile and give it a name or nickname, that name is stored only on your device. It is used to greet your child in the app and, if you turn on the optional practice reminder, to personalize that reminder (for example, "a few minutes of music with Léa?"). You can leave it blank. It is never transmitted anywhere, and uninstalling the app deletes it.

Purchases. If you unlock the full set of creatures, the purchase is handled entirely by Google Play Billing. We never see your credit card or payment details — Google does, under Google's Privacy Policy. We only learn that "this device owns the unlock" so the rest of the family becomes available.

What Never Leaves Your Device

Pitchlings does not send any personal information off your phone or tablet. In particular, the app does not collect, transmit, or share:

• Microphone audio — the app does not use the microphone at all.
• Your or your child's name, email, or contact information — the optional profile name described above stays exclusively on your device.
• Your geographic location.
• Your contacts, photos, calendar, or any other device data.
• Advertising identifiers (AAID/IDFA) or any persistent tracking identifier.

No Microphone

Pitchlings does not use the microphone and does not request microphone permission. Your child plays entirely by listening and tapping — nothing your child says or sings is ever heard, recorded, or processed.

No Ads or Tracking

Pitchlings contains no third-party advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking tools. We do not build profiles of children, and we do not sell or share any data — because nothing personal leaves the device in the first place.

Children's Privacy (COPPA, GDPR-K & Google Play Families)

Pitchlings is designed for young children and is built to be data-light by default. Because no personal information about your child leaves the device and we show no ads, the app is designed to comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), Google Play's Families policy, and the EU/UK rules for children's data (GDPR-K and the UK Children's Code).

Because no personal information ever leaves your device from the app, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf — uninstalling the app removes all local data, including any profile names and progress.

Any purchases or external links sit behind a parental gate, so a child cannot buy anything or leave the app without an adult. We use no manipulative "nudge" techniques — no streaks, no pressure to keep playing, and no notifications aimed at children. The optional practice reminder is set up by a parent, is off by default, and is addressed to the parent.

Website Founding-Cohort Signups (Parents Only)

If an adult parent voluntarily enters their email address on pitchlings.com to join the Founding Families test cohort, that email is used solely to send the Google Play testing invite and cohort feedback check-ins. You can unsubscribe or request deletion at any time by emailing us below.

Pitchlings est un jeu d'éveil musical doux et sans texte destiné aux jeunes enfants, édité par ShadowTune (Frederic Valente), basé en France. Nous prenons la vie privée de votre enfant très au sérieux : aucune donnée personnelle de votre enfant ne quitte jamais votre appareil.

Ce qui reste 100 % sur votre appareil

• Aucun microphone : l'application n'utilise pas le microphone et ne demande aucune permission audio. L'enfant joue uniquement en écoutant et en touchant l'écran.
• Aucune publicité, aucun traceur : aucun SDK publicitaire, aucun outil d'analyse tiers, aucun identifiant publicitaire.
• Progression et prénom optionnel : stockés exclusivement en local sur votre téléphone ou tablette. La désinstallation de l'application supprime toutes les données.
• Contrôle parental : les réglages, l'achat unique et ce lien vers la politique de confidentialité sont protégés par un sas parental (Parental Gate) conforme aux exigences COPPA, RGPD-Mineurs et Google Play Families.
